A milestone that Nora did not hit initially was "productive appropriate play." Nora would play with normal toys- but she would throw them, put them in a box, take them out of a box, line them up, bang them together.
I remember at her evaluation the doctor introduced a baby doll. Nora looked at it, held it. Then banged the baby doll around. She has quite the motherly instinct already.
That was sarcasm, don't be calling CPS.
Fast forward to now-
As of late Nora's obsession is Sesame Street. She knows all the characters, what color they are. It's precious. Do you want to know what is even more precious? My Mom bought Nora all of the Sesame Street Character plushies. Nora loves them. She calls them her "babies." Whatever Nora is doing, her "babies" are doing it too. Whatever Nora is eating, her babies are eating it too. I love watching her talk to them, and play with them. As we speak they are still covered in red sauce from last nights pizza dinner.
We got her a Sesame Street tote bag that she carries her "babies" around in. It goes mostly everywhere with us.
PS: Guess what Grandma got Nora for her Birthday? We are going to see Sesame Street Live on March 31st.
