All toddlers have tantrums, right? Right.
Last night I brought Nora to Quick Care because I wanted her checked for a UTI and a follow up on her ear infection. Picture this: two nurses and myself trying to hold her so the doctor could look in her ears.
Screaming. Thrashing. Scratching. Biting.
Third big meltdown in 24 hours.
After her ears were checked I set Nora on the floor so she could have space. She rolled around and thrashed on the floor for almost 25 minutes.
Autism? Toddler? Pain? Sensory issue?
These meltdowns happen with very little trigger. You can ask her to do a simple task, and it's over. She's pissed.
Nothing helps. The swing, rocking, music, pressure, tight hugs, trampoline, nothing.
Is this the new norm?
On a positive note: no ear infection and no UTI.
