The first post. Ohh the pressure. Just a quick blurb-
My name is Caitlin, and I'm twenty-seven years old. I'm married to my best friend and our daughter is 20 months. She's our everything, naturally! We live in the country. Aside from our full time jobs we have a little hobby farm. We are busy, busy people. Who isn't? 😄
Aside from shoveling animal shit, working a full time job and cleaning up cat hair balls we fit in lots of play time: Barnes and Noble, Kindermusik class, dance class, library tot groups and much more.
Our lives are about to get a lot busier...
Nora will be two in February. At her tiny age, she is the funniest person I know. She sings loudly. She dances loudly. She lives loudly.
At her eighteen month checkup we expressed concerns. The doctor expressed concerns.
At fifteen months things changed. Stopped saying words. Attention span decreased. Hand flapping. Minimal eye contact. Nora qualified for early intervention program. Scoring lower than I thought. Soon we will begin therapies five days a week. We are on a wait list to have a diagnostic evaluation.
Our baby may have autism.
But that's okay.
She's still the funniest, coolest and most loving girl I know.
She's still my Nora.
❤️
