Eating.

Writer's picture: cmdcmd

When Nora was old enough to eat normal food, Andrew bought me a little food processor so that whatever we ate, she could eat too. She ate everything. Chicken, spinach, carrots, squash etc. Always loved fruit. All fruit. Then of course something changed. Nora's teacher Katrina refers to it as the "brown diet." Nora likes dry and crunchy food. Fries, cereal, chips etc. However sometimes we can get grilled cheese, pb&j or fish into her. Fish...weird, I know. She loves it.

She used to have a huge appetite. Now...she's basically a grazer.

I don't know what changed. One day she woke up and wanted carbs only. (Can you blame her?)

Nora also has difficulty sitting down. She likes to walk and eat. A piece of food in each hand. When one hand is empty, she wants another piece of whatever she's eating to fill that hand. The point of this post is that Nora has been doing EXCELLENT with her eating lately. She is sitting at her table. When she does get up, she redirects fairly easily back to her chair. She is doing okay with using a spoon. She even tried a couple new foods this week. Hopefully this streak keeps up! Nora's OT Lauren has been especially helpful when it comes to Nora's eating habits. Happy, Happy!

Virtual Learning is the enemy.

Nora started her new school. We are finishing up week 2. It's going well. My only complaint is that I was very used to open and constant...
