So last weekend Andrew and I redecorated the computer room and made it into a little nook for Nora. We painted it purple, and used chalkboard paint for the back wall. We put her desk in there, her bookcase, lots of pillows and a bean bag chair. We call it "Nora's Crash Pad." When Nora gets a little over stimulated, or just simply needs a few minutes to herself- this room does the trick. She draws, looks through books, stacks her jumbo blocks or buries herself in her stuffed animals. At only two her coping skills are something fierce.
